Our experienced staff is the driving force behind the care, compassion and commitment Day-Break delivers each and every day. Each brings to their positions a diverse set of skills and insights, but the team works together to achieve one cohesive goal: to help our members live healthier, happier lives.

Kimberly Savoir
Director of Day-Break at Farmington, BMT

Kimberly brings her considerable experience and warmth of personality every day to her position as director of Day-Break at Farmington. With a degree in Music Therapy and experience in Therapeutic Recreation, Kimberly joined Day-Break in 2012. She is the acting President of the Connecticut Association of Adult Day Centers. She has over 20 years of experience in adult day services, including more than 12 years managing adult day centers. She enjoys working with the DayBreak clients and their families to develop client-centered plans that recognize the unique knowledge, talent and strength of each individual. It is the goal of Day-Break to empower the client to maintain, regain and/or develop new abilities or strength in a friendly, supportive social environment, and Kimberly is honored to be part of each client’s journey. 

Kimberly was born and raised in VT, and settled in CT after college. She currently lives with her family in Bristol.

Sandra Ortiz
Nurse at Day-Break at Farmington, LPN, CPC

Sandra brings her passion for outreach and helping others to her daily responsibilities at Day-Break. She joined Day-Break in 2013 after receiving her LPN degree, and is continuing her studies in an RN program at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport with a concentration in deaf studies. Sandra loves the diversity of our clients and the opportunity to work with the elderly to improve their quality of life. She relishes the interaction between family, caregivers, clients and care managers, which gives her the opportunity to educate Day-Break clients and families on health issues such as diabetes, nutritional counseling and hypertension.

Sandra lives with her family in Waterbury.
